About Me

Hi, my name is Juleah Lantican. I have been interested in singing since I was a little girl. I enjoy singing because to me “music is the language of the soul”; music gives me joy and softens every pain. Singing gives me different opportunities to share my God-given talent with those around me.

When I first started to sing, I was shy and never wanted to sing in front of anyone. I would lock myself in my room and sing my heart out. As my love for singing grew, I became more comfortable singing in front of people. I would join my Dad during mass, sing for the family and friends, and join and compete in school talent activities.

Throughout the years, I have been a part of different choral groups and took voice and singing lessons at a local music studio in Pinole, CA. During my singing years at the studio, I was able to perform in community activities, in different churches, perform with many Filipino artists, and travel to different countries. My love for singing grew and made me realize that sharing our musical talents with others can brighten up their day. When people hear us sing, their faces glow with a big smile, and it makes me feel like I did something good because I made someone happy by singing.

School choir has also been a big impact on my music career. Ever since I was in elementary school, I decided to join the school choir because I wanted to share my talents with the school. We would always perform during school masses and school activities. Being part of the school choir is my way of giving back to the school. Performing during school masses, I would always feel like it was my way of sharing my faith in God.

As I started to gain more experiences, I learned something new about myself each time I performed. I learned to trust myself more and took any opportunity that came along. I always feel proud of myself after every performance, with a feeling of accomplishment and fulfillment. Performing in front of others is not an easy thing to do. Each experience taught me to enjoy every opportunity because you never know when the next opportunity comes your way again.

Outside of my singing career, I am currently a student at San Francisco State University with an undeclared with an interest of nursing profession. Besides singing, I enjoy dance, where I am currently taking hula and tahitian lessons.

I’m just your ordinary teenage girl, trying to enjoy her college life!
